Note: We are not doing our normal newsletter because there was very little action this week not only in our strategies, but also in the market in general. The economic reports were few and what came out were not all that significant with the exception of the new unemployment claims report which was worse than expected. But that was balanced out with the continuing claims report which was a little better than expected.

The Dow touched 11,000 on Friday and closed just a tad below that. For the week that is the main news-- by far. We now need to wait and see if the market has the strength to break thru that mark and march ahead. Everything seemed to be geared to getting us to 11,000 and we did get there. Negative news was swept aside as tho it never was announced. Retail sales were strong and the momentum of the pendulum swing could not be denied or reversed during this week. It will be fun to watch next week. Everyone will be riveted to the opening on Monday.

Next week should be a more active week giving us more issues to discuss.

Mike
